Our ambition is to educate the public and raise awareness about environmental issues whilst making it possible for consumers to purchase sheets of HTC for their sustainable design projects.

• To develop our technology to provide materials that will be sensitive to the earth’s finite resources and environment through the use of recycled carpet.

• To promote energy saving activities by considering the products lifecycle in order to minimize the environmental impact of our material.

• To endeavor to meet or exceed all applicable environmental and safety regulatory requirements

• To promote waste minimization activities, giving preference to recycled or renewable sources wherever practical

• To encourage environmental awareness to all employees so that all environmental factors are considered in all decision making processes.

Carpet-Burns on : Eco-audit

Every industrial process uses energy and creates waste and recycling is no exception. It is obviously important therefore to ensure that any recycling process is environmentally worthwhile. Carpet-Burns has conducted an energy audit on our process and established that making sheets this way from waste carpet uses between 50% and 70% of the energy that would be used to create sheets from virgin plastics.
Because we do not melt the carpet completely, it gives off no noxious or harmful fumes whilst it is being pressed.
