Contemporary Living Rooms breaks new ground in the way we look at art
for the home. Moving away from the traditional 'art on plinths'
setting common in many galleries - this exhibition of furniture
and accessories places art in a domestic setting. Interior
designer Rob Hardy will transform the gallery space into a living
room, dining room, bedroom and kitchen - you will even enter through
the front door of the 'house'.
Contemporary
Living Rooms features the work of 34 artists from across the
East Midlands
and builds on the success
of four years of
Arts Markets at the
Harley
Gallery
where regional artists
sell their work direct to the public.
All
pieces in the exhibition will be for sale and artists will be happy
to take commissions for new work. Contemporary Living Rooms will also include a Homeshop selling other ranges of work by the
artists allowing the public to take home their purchases straight
away.

has reduced the amount of products it has launched, this season
we have concentrated more on interior products, some of which are
now stocked on the Roomtopia website. Over the coming months Carpet-Burns
will be doing a great deal of products research and development
with the launch of new material HTC (Heat treated carpet), we hope
the material will be available in sheet form to customers by September
with the product launch taking place at this year 100% Detail as
part of 100% Design.
